Exhale

 

Ethereal eternal presence,

 

standing tall against the hushed horizon line.

 

The western sky casts shadows amidst the energy of levied leaves,

 

watching as one silently floats downward to land at the alter ‘neath my feet.

 

Reverence of a grand life-force,

 

vibrating wisps towards the center of Mother Earth…

 

A breathless, magnanimous force as esteemed as She,

 

to let loose a reticent tear of one on the gentle breeze…

 

Another soon will fall,

 

cascading into a mighty waterfall of tears,

 

a peaceful, virtuous life leafing…

 

at long last, letting go…

This poem is a symphony of word sounds! Your word selection is superb for the way the phrasing sounds when reading it. I almost had a love affair with your words, to the detriment of being aware of your message. That we might all find moments to feel this way, instead of grinding about whatever mess the world & our societies might be in! This is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. One of my favorite poems I've read on here. The hushed horizon line is such genius and everything about it is absolutely beautiful. It reminds me of the sunrise, just all in all very breathtaking and it contains everything to make a grand poem.
