This poem is a symphony of word sounds! Your word selection is superb for the way the phrasing sounds when reading it. I almost had a love affair with your words, to the detriment of being aware of your message. That we might all find moments to feel this way, instead of grinding about whatever mess the world & our societies might be in! There's lots of this kind of beauty in the world that many people are missing becuz they're grinding about what feels crummy. I wish we could drink your poem & change the way we see & feel! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

"Ethereal eternal presence,
standing tall against the hushed horizon line."
Love this skybound yet earthbound homage to Nature and her profound beauty. Seriana your graceful, strong words well-describe this eternal paradox. Striking and sacred imagery, to me, make this a poem to remember. Thanks to you and thanks to Einstein Noodle for pointing me here.

' The western sky casts shadows amidst the energy of levied leaves, ~ watching as one silently floats downward to land at the alter ‘neath my feet. '
How comforting yet extreme a reminder that from the height and breadth of life comes the most gentle and fragile. Fragility fed by every emotion, hidden, conveyed or displayed.. touch, tear and tenderness in equal measure, ' .. a peaceful, virtuous life leafing… at long last, letting go… '
Words to remember..

In everything that is strength is also fragile, the ability to crumble, as things do over time whether we want or not. This poem has come to mean more to me after the fact than when I was writing it. Sometimes writing things out, those "things" aren't exactly known at the time. I did not set out to write it this way. It just came. The seasons of a tree always bring to mind the many changes of our own lives and changes throughout history in every facet of life.
Words to remember most definitely....
Thank you again. Hope you are well and loved.

Sending gentle but silent words, no need to explain them.
To exhale, taken for granted, our part of life. Breathe in, breathe out it goes on and on as long as we live.
Breathe in all the delights that there are to behold and enjoy, to take in the fresh and the new. Exhaling the used, the stale and await the brief moment to replenish ourselves.
Has the sound of a life passing on to another plane of existence. The falling leaves alone suggest such. There are tears at the time of parting, but the overall feeling is one of peace. "At long last, letting go." In pace requiescat.

Requiescat. :) Yes, the overall feeling of peace at last. There has to be that in loss. It is a natural part of the cycle, loss.
Thank you always for your kind words!
In this moment... when one exhales... the heaviness is released and the bliss prepares to be inhaled into the body and soul. Now... you know this so well... this is peace... the weight of the world falling away. Oh, that we could all embrace this place.

Yes.. may we all find it... flowing like a sweet river.
ohhhhhhhhhhhhh! i wrote a poem title Exhale as well ... i will have to see if it is still here and send your the link ... i love the whole concept ... so for sure your title has me hooked ;)
ahhhhhhhh the breath of life ... the epicenter of Hatha yoga ... the first gasp with a cry .. i love how you weave this into a spiritual, earthbound letting go .. exhale ... mmmmmmmmmm L3 grabs me .. it hints of politics and ancient history and myth ... women deserve and are, by some, most assuredly worshiped at their alters ;) that one tear .. beautiful .. focuses me on how pure it is ... as she cries .. there is certainly enough for her to cry about .. and the cleansing power of rain .. so Biblical and Naturalist Science like ... read it a couple times .. really got into this one .. lots of meat on the bones of it .. enjoyed the imaging of cleansing breaths and floating leaves letting go .. thanks for sharing .. its a good note for me to bid the Cafe' adieu for the day .. and take this feeling with me. :)

It is appreciated beyond measure. There is something so ancient and wise about trees. I have been connected deeply to "The Tree of Life" concept. The energy there must be fierce. And nature, in general, provides a place of peace and healing. Your beautiful words have humbled me. Thank you again and again!
