PhosphenesA Poem by SerianaMeant to be read slowly, with purpose and pause.Phosphenes There’s a roundness to my visions, a halo wrapped around...the feels, somehow, contained within, they glide innocently out......... like blow-bubbles on a hot summer’s day. The taste of mint on my tongue reminds the senses of more, and I come back to the pinch pain, the fatigued flutter muscle reminding me of the stresses of ... the day, week, month, and...this year. I’m riding again. 30,000 feet of cramped sunrise, quiet neighbors, except behind. Staring into the seat in front, I observe bent, iridescent light through the window, reflecting off particles of floating dust. I’m reminded, then, of a word... Phosphenes " the stars and colors you see when you rub your eyes..." Those particles evolve into their own galaxy, drifting as dusty thoughts in hushed air, swirling silently behind visions that once were luminous images... trailing in the wake of tired, closed eyes © 2020 SerianaReviews
