In Daze

In Daze

A Poem by Seriana

In Daze

Betwix this fuzzy glaze in my eyes,

daydreaming,

hands resting in tepid, sudsy water…

A smile aligned when I blinked mine eyes.

His face was light in my mind,

softly reminiscent of the very last time…

Focus…

The feeling of it jolted me back.

Here.

Hands warm,

in dirty, sudsy water,

glistening on my skin.

Alone in the vastness of my wistful mind,

I secretly smiled back,

wishing in desperate silence…

to see it once again.

such a wonderful write here, I enjoyed it...
I found it pretty

almost reminds me of a scene with Burt Lancaster and Susan Sarandon in a movie called "Atlantic City"

the gazing, the imagining what is in the other's mind.
thoughts as warm as the water...

Since our last exchange, I'd hoped to find a change of mood, perhaps a hug from another place. A hug from yourself, perhaps? Your writing has such a sad yet beautiful lilt, words set just so, but painfully longing for past times. Now my words are here for you to find, when you want - mail sent however. Hugs.

Sweet, subtle bliss lives in your words. How we slip into those moments of joy, our mind's eye focusing on distant thoughts, loving longings. Heartbreakingly beautiful...
