RemembranceA Poem by SerianaFor my dear aunt who lost her battle with cancer this past week.Remembrance How could I have known it’d be the last time we’d speak? Casual conversation after many a year… I hardly knew you, not like she did, not like they did. Yet as old friends we spoke, and laughed, and I hugged you good-bye when it was time for you to go. Never was another thought given that it would be the last. So many lives were touched by your precious light, dear, sweet soul. Your ultimate zest for life, your carefree approach to every
situation, good and bad, happy and sad, were recognized by the lives you secretly touched. Today, many a saddened heart gathered to celebrate YOU. On this great Earth, you will forever be missed. But the warmth of your light will be elsewhere shared, eternally. You, this amazing, caring, beautiful woman, My dear mother’s sister, Louise. ~AP 5/9/15
