A Golden ThreadA Poem by Serene StarRest in peace - Earth was not made for angelsA dividing scene He writes of love Upon lost gloves They were humming His name To Crimson red Lines Freedom expedited For some Fall to acceptance Others climb To a place Where breathing Is not consented Men appearing big Here's to a shallow small Lingered beyond Places we all know Something disappeared A humane appearance Upon the darkest Thames To a Mississippi river We read of blame Upon lanes Of silence Headlines in gold Threads told Seamless packages Addressing shackles A broken rose Smiles today For a soul would fly With wings often shy To a better place On Golden Threads They so spoke Of this day The stairways Leading to a heaven Souls that Remain Disputing change In chains A Lutheran call
