Abyss

Holds Questions and Answers

The starry night,

So dark yet bright,

Holds mysterious creatures,

Questions and answers.

 

The abyss confuses

Even the smartest of us

It avoids the wisest,

And most educated guess.

 

The smallest hint

Of life out there

Could be happy

Perplexing or a scare

 

Yet there are those

Who ignore the dark

And try to illuminate

And make their mark.

 

For those who feel

The grip of abyss

Who take pride in

Belief and confess.
