Imprinted

Imprinted

A Poem by Paige Turner
"

A short piece of free verse poetry. 'Words slice into my soul, some are stuck forever, imprinted on my heart. While others, seep through the cracks...

"

Words slice into my soul,

some are stuck forever,

imprinted on my heart.

While others,

seep through the cracks floating away,

to a place where they will be ever forgotten.

The wind and rain howl against the window pane,

clouds, thick and murky, start to twist,

we're like kindred spirits,

my emotions running wild,

the clouds spinning, never being tamed.

Lightning crashes,

it enters my ears,

echoing the screams of fear,

fading away into nothing.
