||Between me and the ocean.

||Between me and the ocean.

A Poem by S. S. Allen
"

Java

"
Waves building momentum,
Bowing their heads into the rocks.
I listen,
I listen,
As the ocean speaks,
Moaning for me to come
But I cannot swim.
So,
I let it caress my feet,
As my toes grip the sand.
It's the cure I'll never take.
All for goodness sake,
The losses far outweigh the gains.
The losses for him,
For me, it's not quite the same.
He's my ride or die.
And we ride,
We ride gently into the nights.
But wind whispers to me.
Fight, fight against the dying light.
Don't go gently into that good night!
It says...
And this cure I'll never take,
All for goodness sake,
But baby please understand,
You might be my cure...
But I'm positively your end.

Giving reference to Dylan Thomas', "Do not go gently into that good night." It's by no means relating to that piece, but I like that part so I put it in there.
