Au couchant

Au couchant

A Poem by S. S. Allen

Coitus and kisses devoid of love.
Gravida, zero; para, none.
Rejected by interviews with matriarchy.
Still...
Her heart like the sun warms those around her.
She would each time, au couchant.
Question beyond the horizon.

I like how you intermingle medical terminology.

I always love word economy, you do that well.

You are most welcome!
I apologize for the terms. Let me clarify for those who might not know. Gravida and Para are medical terms where gravida is the number of pregnancies versus Para which means number of miscariages. Au couchant is "at sunset" in French. Thank you.
