Bombshell Bursting (rewrite of an old poem)

()

I am enamored with your beautiful deception. From across the shiny deadwood, I watch you spin clichéd clumps of bubblegum-bullshit from the hardships of others. That giant red mouth is a flagrant moral deformity. The entire room withers beneath your foul enterprise. Vile virus spills into the vulnerable atmosphere like teargas. Stranger stares squint, friendly smiles contort. Agony dances on pupils and eardrums like Herman Munster mid-tantrum. Shame burrows into the skin; parasitic fangs grin from every monstrous syllable.

()

I sit in my quarantine corner, sip my cold confusion and wonder about the tragic set of circumstances that caused this mangle of pain and noise.

()

You are as mysterious and severe as roadkill; I can only guess at what hit you, and what you once were.
