one more song

one more song

A Poem by Nobody.

one more song

before destruction,

a prayerful hymn

cast against the frost

that creeps from deep

inside the caverns

of holey hopes

and snake pit thoughts.

a white flower virgin

tossed into the angry volcano;

no reprieve for the damned,

no golden rope for the innocent.

one final romantic kiss,

before the tsunami crashes

down on every precious thing

we, once, would’ve died to protect.

I guess if it were truly the end of the world, we'd be frantically still writing poems eh R.G.?
