smiles, faith and hatred

smiles, faith and hatred

A Poem by Nobody.

a smile

is proof

that

someone

somewhere

hates

you.

faith

is proof

that

you

hate

someone

somewhere.

love

is just

the

quiet

moments

taken

between

hating

and

being

hated.

I

hated

writing

this

thought

down.

someone

somewhere

will

hate me

for it.

but,

I'm

smiling

anyway.

then again, a thought comes along every second, unless yer watchin' sports or the election debates or yer nails drying at the salon.

"Smile when you say that par'dner" is an old western movie cliche. You need a stetson, a six shooter and six shots of red eye lined up behind you on the bar before you say that or smile for that matter.

btw, there's never any proof, that's where the faith part comes in. Otherwise none of it works. If you can call this working.

Smiling to me is the outward symbol of knowing. Usually you know something the other guy doesn't, it causes a smile. You knew it first, you knew it more, you are going to keep smiling no matter what anybody thinks.

It drives the reptiles nuts.... smiling.... their lips are too thin to smile.... but I digress.

If anyone can get a thought, an emotion, a vision, a smile across, it's you R.G.

Oh, you are wicked! This made me laugh out loud. I love the tall skinny visual structure, and the circular nature of the piece.

Quite possibly your cynical best. I especially love the 3rd stanza, so true.
