becomingA Poem by Nobody.eyes
closed red
stars on blue/black inward
eternity eyes
open salt
and pepper asphalt garnished
in the green of best wishes and
the red clay from which I was formed purplish
grey hills beckon
me onward to
some greater version of
this temporary salvation conundrum to
roll forward through
frigid spirit storms and
rocky flesh traps to
conquer those mountains and
taste mortal victory or
to fall into my own head swim
abstract oceans lick
color from thought painted skies dip
fiery stars into soft flesh like
hot cookies in cold milk and
eat myself bite
by bite bit
by bit rambunctious
eyes cry for mountains weary
body begs for head I am engulfed by warmth blissful liberty bathes away all restriction
no
journey could hold the pleasure of this crossroad moment
so I concede set
a patchwork sail of
ethereal squares and
practical circles wind
knows where she wants me earth
will not fail beneath me water
can’t sink me and
there is more fire inside of me than
out I
am becoming
