unravel

unravel

A Poem by Nobody.

awkward shadows

hum my name in vain

amidst the pinball gears

of greasy guts and starlit fears

icecicle tears sail the turbulent distance

between Heaven & Hell

and hoarse churchbells who exhale

breathy hours into ancient relics

sing Forever to deaf rat carcasses

who house angelic souls

well never knock these walls down,

but well paint them the color of Eternity

and dance on them to love songs that seep

from stones and hearts like bloody dew

spirits as blurred as hummingbird wings

buzz, click, pop the circuitous tangle

I sit still in the quiet center

and watch my world unravel

the beauty is indescribable

This was very beautiful to me, yep only 8.5% of our poems are any good, it's about right.

Life...finding oneself...the sane, the insane, watching as it
all unfolds...

Man, this reads like a scene from a Chuck Palahniuk novel. Strangely, it reads like a piece from the novel Choke in fact.
