sometimes I feel likeA Poem by Nobody.sometimes
I feel like I was
raised in the vast grassy valley between two
wor(l)ds: Ethereal
& Substantial caught in
a multidimensional crossfire of smoky dove
whispers and gritty asphalt scrapes angel trumpet solos and angry shotgun blasts demonic goosebump tickles and kneejerk needle pokes light
seeping from a crack in clouds and blood
seeping from a puncture of skin sometimes
I feel like the Earth
is my splatter-painted egg, and I’ve
yet to be born into my true life; shown in
my true light sometimes
I feel like a disease-carrying
flea sucking on a mangy dog whose
bound to shake, scratch or nibble me from its
irritated skin eventually sometimes I
feel like the
gravity of my existence will suck
me in at the speed of light and smash
me against these brick wall thoughts like a bug
splats against a speeding car’s windshield most times
I feel like I don’t exist at all, but I
could if I’d just learn to think less
of me, expect less
of the experience, stop being
so self-consumed, and fall
happily with the
rest of the trash dumped from
the sky sometimes
I still feel like I can’t
change me or anything else it just is I just am we just
are everybody else seems to be more concerned about the weather & the shifting costs of gas, milk and ammunition
