long distance

long distance

A Poem by Nobody.

a swarm of barking metal bugs

blows holes in the antiqued skyline.

I can’t feel anything.

your phone number is tattooed

on the walls of my confusion.

I am just calling to let you know

that I’ve fallen into a coma.

sell all my best memories,

and use the income to buy

that pretty future you’ve

always wanted.

I'm swimming toward the sunset.

I really like these lines:a swarm of barking metal bugs
blows holes in the antiqued skyline.
It's sad because you mentioned buy the future you
have always wanted...it seems the person could only
be happy upon someone elses death....death did make
a statement it seems...

Probably your most straight ahead piece in terms of meaning. Nothing is minced, and the last line and stanza are worth their weight in gold.
