beauty of death

beauty of death

A Poem by Nobody.

beauty of death

my forever has fallen asleep

in the passenger seat.

her precious head

fallen on my eternal shoulder.

I drive on,

and hope she’s dreaming

the same falling leaves

I see through my rolling

church window.

familiar radio sing-alongs

are the glue that keeps me solid;

elevation hymns.

winding road doesn’t seem

sure of where we’re going,

but I’ve read that it’s peaceful

there.

a lot to like here, unusual setting gives the poem an unexpected slant. Liked the visual impact of the poem that sense of death travelling beside you or perhaps waiting just down the road :)

I love this...your words have a very spiritual feel, refreshing,
real, makes one feel like we are not alone in this mad world.

I love this. It reminds me when two lovers are at peace when a man drives down a lone country road. As the song goes, oh where oh where could my baby be?
