Morehead City

asleep on a tugboat full of explosives

                          and manure.

                 knocking of barges

            and hum of generators

 fills my dreams with drum rolls

                     and bumblebees.

 

 the ninety pound wrench

                   in the corner

       seems to have cured

        my lifelong insomnia.

 

tomorrow,

I’ll toss my sleeping meds

  overboard.
