penanceA Poem by Nobody.stand
on the prairie of
your soul as
if I had bloomed here. cinders
and ashes fall
from your tear-streaked sky like
Satanic snowflakes. love's
moonlight has been
eaten alive by a swarm of
thick black pain. lakes
of fiery wrath may
soon crest above
my weary head, but
I will refuse to burn until
you forgive me. © 2011 Nobody. |
