monsterA Poem by Nobody.beating
heart worn as a warding mask: bloody red
poetry smeared
on the dilapidated smile of
a forever child. rusty nail
thorns jut viceroy
threats from a
busted center. stain glass
eyes wave martyr
flags from shallow graves. I am
the monster you made me. dead-walking
through your veins, etching
cryptic nursery rhymes into your bones; internal
belly itch whines
like ancient feedback until
your ears beg to be cut away. echoes
of shadow-cloaked sins; giveaway
howl of the aces up your sleeves. you may
kill my body and leave it to rot, but my
words are eternal bone spurs in your falling heel. © 2011 Nobody.Reviews
