risenA Poem by Nobody.your smile has eaten right through my best soul, the blue/yellow plaid with the pearl buttons; shredded. now, I am judged for the viscous black disease that drips from my infected wound of a heart. I want to carve my poisonous disgust on the backs of all passersby who dare show me their teeth. I want to fall into the sun, and die where nobody can see me. I want to become as cold as you are, and freeze the gaze of every uppity flesh pile who thinks they know who I am; what I am. I want to laugh again for any reason at all, but every joke turns dark and rancid, and the punch-lines level whole cities. don’t point your manicured finger and scream. I am only the monster you’ve created; the chewed up ghost of your discarded leftovers. please touch me one more time. this walking death is contagious. I am your eternal flames. burn. © 2011 Nobody. |
