motionless escapee

motionless escapee

A Poem by Nobody.

bloodied sunset
settles
hard

hellfire
falling
new summer burn

choking the cold
isolated child
chained up
inside my
medicine green-
walled
inner-

Inner-

asylum

deformed

a landscape
of razor wire
brush and needled trees;

seas of frigid
black

exhales

rusty nail stars
numb scars
on asphalt
dreams

screams
rain down
on tin roof
resolve

loaded revolvers cry
hot steel into puddled dead

in my wasteland head,
that sunrise
is the last remnants
of a murdered moon

I’ve forgotten

how I arrived here;

but my strobe-flickering

hands are caked in

black blood-crust

and guilt

built my own

purgatory

a sarcophagus universe

to punish

these blacked-out sins

until the gavel

thuds

the end

when they kill me,

I'll have been long-

deceased

burning in my

hand-carved

flames

The guilt in this poem is practically Catholic in nature. Awesome as always.

Some really nice lines in this, and so vivid, like self torture, the movie
Saw came to mind with it's grosteque images.

I cannot believe how accurate a description this is... exchange scream for rant, and I'd think you were a mind-reader.

I love the image of hand-carved flames...so tactile and elemental.
