Yeah, I KNOW it's really only about blackberries, but the poet in me wants to find the metaphor! (And after all, isn't growing blackberry vines what a meadow's for?)
What did we learn, kids? May we safely indulge our appetites, and seek satiation in the overgrown arenas, without giving careful heed to all the potentially devastating consequences? (Hmmm..."Seek Satiation": that's a five-syllable line. Maybe I need to compose a Haiku of my own, on this topic!)

why is it that the sweetest things are guarded by snakes (cough, cough (((knowledge and apples))) cough, cough). Nice Haiku...does this mean you have a new multicolored belt to go along with your blackberry pie?

Ah... the serendipidous moment when snakes get to bite back.

I have a saying - when you forget about snakes, that is when they show up ..
