Final Argument

Final Argument

A Poem by Nobody.

Climbed up the tree

to escape her gravity,

screamed a lie

to Heaven,

all these demons,
and no magic dust,

razor time slaying
my blunt thought work,

squeezing my throat
relentlessly

like an anaconda embrace
forever,

her laughter

grinds my lap,
slaps my face,

ties the noose

and demands I can fly.

as I leap into the cold darkness,

I can only hope

that she’s wrong.

ooo ha I think we all hope she's wrong ha - no magic dust!! I love your descriptions - simple sights that you give this new little kick - "climbed up a tree to escape her gravity" - watch out for those snakes up there though! ha

I like the way you ended this a lot. I like the personification of the Earth in the narrator's pursuit of relief, or as I saw it. Very profound piece.

Amazing start... chilling conclusion... and everything in between.
