Doomed

Doomed

A Poem by Nobody.

1
hands interlocked

 eyes fastened

we were doomed as one

mauled by vicious wolves
who hid in the

worn yellow pages

of her scriptural ache

blighted silver eyes
of demonic black crows
lasered through tainted clouds

of light-washed green linen

bullets coming

like syrupy lightning

death rattles

from the orphaned baby’s

plastic scepter

everyone seems

a dark wizard

today

2
we run from the sunlight
like vampire shadows

bloodstains on our fangs
wedding cake on our chins

the twin marks are eclipsed
by her long black hair

I can’t afford to disappear just yet

we’ve found a nice steep cliff

and, tonight we go shopping

for a suitable corpse

I hate to sacrifice the old Chevy

but the altar must be quenched

3

we will never be out of the crossfire

both gods and men are relentless hunters

hands interlocked

eyes fastened

we are doomed as one

eternity looks like a finite road

but her vicious barbs are endless

and without mercy

Bonnie and Clyde vampire serial killers... Talk about warped sex-drive gone off the wall.
Doomed indeed. And extremely disturbing.

Wow.. a dark tale told. The repetition added to it, bringing you back into the moment. Great job
