Blooming StaresA Poem by Nobody. This is a piece of my art that I wanted to write something about. This is what came.
Stares from Love's garden send laser-like signals; slice through the eggshell and pierce the thick yoke. Facts spoken like hisses of coiled up serpents awaiting the moment to strike at my soul. Red lights and sirens; the songs of destruction, waling internally; burning thin nerves. Absurdity clinches and wrestles me under deep frigid waters of anxious cold sweat. Stares from Love's garden devour my senses; cool calm pretenses are down on their knees. Diseased prayers and dreams grounded and canceled. I am a caterpillar who’ll never grow wings. Squirming the soil, I tunnel for meaning, but find only darkness and festering rot. Splotches of color taunt me and whistle, their thistles awaiting to crucify me. Stares from Love's garden have hardened my innards; a petrified sinner with no need for love. I’m nothing but food for blackbirds and demons, I’ll find no redemption; I’ll never take flight. © 2011 Nobody.Featured Review
