TreasureA Poem by Nobody.Treasure I As I lick sweet frosting from your poetry flame, I wonder about your bellybutton. Tiny crater filled with rain water and dream-stuff beckons. If ever God had outdone red roses on a cloudy day, it was when he formed your soul. I need to speak to the other you; the feral one with the recurrent explosions in her eyes. The tigress stripes that tremble beneath a tender calloused hand. II There is a runaway with honey wheat trestles spilled around her ceramic mask. She’s trying to sing your song, but the spires of my gothic cathedral have undone the elaborate hoax. III Treasure can only be identified from behind a childish stare. Behind these blue jalousie windows there is a little boy hopping in place, and pointing at your laughter. His decoder ring never fails. © 2011 Nobody.Featured Review
