Passion & Hatred

 

Both epic voices sang simultaneously.

                                Fiery sputum of a dragon god

Screaming the blood rain of aerial battle.

                                She scoffed at the barbaric notion.

She tilted her head back and laughed in color.

                                White flowers and red locks danced.

All corners of the flat orange sky folded inward.

                                Savage beauty and rugged brutality.

No mortal could detangle the sacred verses.

Author's Note

Herbert Woodward Martin invented the "contrapuntal" poem which can be read forward and backwards and up and down and clockwise and counterclockwise.

we're all mad here, but i see that you've retained your muchness. you've also retained brilliance while experimenting with a different form, so were i wearing a hat, i'd take it off to you. as it is, i'm rather partial to backwards and counterclockwise, but to each his own :)
