WinterA Poem by Nobody.Winter birdsongs end as abruptly as gunshots her hair turns from brown to black 20 degree smack from waking to sleep spider dies mid-creep on the open porch limbs of the oak; nude and proud shroud of shame dropped to the floor I adore her sturdy, sexy frame shame is a disease kept for humans laughter uproots from a deeper soil than when sun boiled it over the brim dark clouds are called grim, but, to me, look soft as they wrap blue skies like blankets you and I have changed looks as well we meld like clay and water a single vessel filled with warmth who defies the laws of cold winter we’ll sing until the bright birds return we’ll creep the porch for the spider we’ll stand naked and shameless with the fair oak, and name each black cloud that floats by and by we’ll uproot the hardiest laughter and bask in the glow of our love and when the sweeter seasons come
we will yearn for the intimate freeze © 2011 Nobody.Featured Review
