Lights flick out

Air turns stale

Jaws fail

Mid-sentence

Mid-word

Silence falls

Like a boot

On the corner-

Pinned mind

Function grinds

To a jolted collision

Blinded, busted

Still life of pain

 

Something just died in here

 

I hope it wasn’t me

Oh now one could go on and on with this lovely idea...Dad simply dropped dead in the heart doctor's arms. "You have a good strong heart Major," he'd just said. Mom, on the other hand, lived on and on and on...in the nasty nursing home, all the while wondering if the little caged canaries made love. I like your writing, no matter what the subject!
