on the dashboard of a broken down magic carpet

bound for

possible futures we paint with blood

on fossilized ideas

  

bobble-headed geniuses

entertain the mooing herd

with words that wrap around and cinch together worlds

and numbers that lift the floppy-skin of ancient ignorance

 

brightly colored feathers in dull brown god-hats

stream-

line aerodynamic

missiles

aimed at the rubble of rubble of rubble

of greatness

we define in the broken lines of a blind history

still lost
