Fountain on Decatur St.

Fountain on Decatur St.

A Poem by Nobody.

Fountain on Decatur St.

pale flesh on red brick

trick is to see the fire that burns beneath

flames that warm my face

that burn away a forest of pretense

love stands in sweet ash

thankful she has revealed forgotten stars

            carved her truth in lies

freed my soul from its icy existence

This was beautifully written with some more fantastic images to describe great depths.

This is just beautiful, RG. A sincere expression of love for someone who has touched a life and changed it forever.
