Personal PassoverA Poem by Nobody.Personal Passover Frosted windows growl icy refractions of bright betrayal Like angry dogs gaze at raw meat with glazed black marble eyes Dreamy skyline sleeps fetal with her troubled head on the river And her frigid feet flat against my bare chest Fish bone textured ceilings breath and squirm Double kick bass drum anxiety rattles framed days from stone walls Infomercials retake the static field and the sun crashes into my head Morning birds all seem to have laryngitis Songs sound like a Biblical plague of toads Would someone please free the Israelites? Blood test results lie flat like vandalized tombstones Tomorrowless screams have soaked into my diseased marrow Shadowy angel has passed me over one more night I’m craving an all-the-way pizza breakfast Must still be alive © 2010 Nobody.Featured Review
