immortal amphibian wonderA Poem by Nobody.an awkward thought that killed a perfectly horrible processwent to the yard to dump some dead thoughts. just beyond the usual daisy-feathered grave I saw it: there was a red toad with a pearly banjo perched on an acne-ridden log. he played a switchblade song that sounded like sex on fire and yodeled the decay of a blue collar ghost in 2/4 time. his left eye stared at me with an ominous hunger. his right eye rolled around like an in-flight compass over the Bermuda Triangle. I half-jogged back to the house like I had to piss out a bladderful of red ants, and wrote myself a brief reminder on the backs of my eyelids: this most recent thought will have to be buried alive because I simply don’t have the proper hardware to make it die. what an unfortunate miracle! © 2010 Nobody.Author's Note
