sleepyA Poem by Nobody.the sacred surrender to nothingnessmy deeply creased mouth yawns an empty tomb; an abyssal gape in bruised light. snake silhouettes crawl onto white lids alive, but unafraid to end. shadows as sexy as a bare thigh peeking from the slit in teacher’s red skirt coax me to enter and exit. just a blinded fog victim who would die to dream. sleep is all: Heaven, Hell, that dry green crust on the corners of blown out eyeholes. she takes me. no strain against her smoky shackles. no bite to ward off her groping blue hands. no objections to her will; I nurse at the shushing still. fluttered ripples in a stream of consciousness. if tomorrow slips into the void so be it. © 2010 Nobody.Author's Note
