same changes; different same

same changes; different same

A Poem by Nobody.
"

murder, mayhem, thievery, villainous heroes, heroic villains....history

"

native defilement

fist-first negotiations,

location and ancestry

define a life’s worth

once-proud cultures,

vulture grub; sun-cooked

subhuman pests,

nests burnt on the ground

skin colors change

but blood’s always red

and, though we live different,

we all end the same,

the game’s rules will change

to favor majorities,

minorities fight hard,

fall hard and die hard

what of religion?

“thou shalt not kill”

yet, spilled blood flows deep

in the names of your lords

you claim you own paradise,

build walls on the borders,

hoarders of freedom;

kingdoms of lies

languages change

but truth remains truth,

youth learn from the old ones

to kill, maim, destroy,

the game’s always deadly

home team sets to strike

all people unlike them;

just targets with eyes

even insiders

with outsider notions

are treated like b*****d

children of God

change or be hated

line up or draw lines

resign to the norm

or be trampled beneath

l
ifestyles change

but hate remains hateful,

ungrateful victims

of freedom are slain,

be plain to survive

the driven herd’s march,

or start making plans

to be buried and chained

same old changes;
different same

This is a really incredible poem, searingly honest and poetically graphic. You have real talent. I particularly like the lines 'all people unlike them;
just targets with eyes'.

Oh my ........this is a fabulous write..........of how this world is and always has been really...........it seems religion is such a general term, because now so many die in its name, yet you are right, our blood is the same colour, and yet we kill, maim and damage........there is no paradise, not anymore.........God has left the building. 100% from me.............gritty, angry, and fantastic.
