(switch lanes)

(switch lanes)

A Poem by Nobody.

hungry enough

to be eaten,

peachy pain howls

icy bruises

through spotless

salmon lips

egg-eyed angst roars

a longhaired

pock marked soul hymn

from a crew cut

baby faced

cadaver

remnants of remnants

self-masticated crumbs

of a purer contamination

a former mediocre

with less scars and whispers

have you found it yet?

that dusty existence

where golden grins don’t taunt

from treacherous jungles

of neon reality

instead,

 you exhume stale chuckles

from the time-caked Nike box

stashed next to the jeans

that don’t fit anymore,

but might fit again

 some brilliant diet

can you feel the night wolf

withering to a dust bunny

beneath your ribs?

can you see

the end

from here?

I think the word is incredible. How do you go through a life with such succinct beauty.

Leaps and bounds. You have to run to catch up to this piece. A picture album of passages. Life passages. Youth to age.... switching lanes, switching perspectives. As always, painting more than the words say.... nice, very nice stuff.
