platonic prosthesis

platonic prosthesis

A Poem by Nobody.

platonic prosthesis

stand on the shadow line. stand where the fire sleeps.

stand the way I showed you; like a battle-virgin soldier

who’s legs yield no promise of being there tomorrow.

but remember, the light will always return. the light

never fails. even if your eyes refuse to perceive it. you

must always rise to meet that light. even if your

understanding fails you. even if you’ve lost your faith.

even if you are a charred chunk worthy of a meat hook.

you must rise to meet the light.  you must stand.

One of the more powerful and dark pieces I've read of yours RG, in these times the light is all we have left. Maybe it''s time to appreciate it more.

"charred chunk worthy of a meat hook" now there is a lovely group of words fun to say. they are natural to the tongue.i'd end on that image.
