The Elements

A look on the four elements as I see them.

Water

Your sweet flowing drink

Keeps us alive

It streams in lakes,

Rivers and seas

And even

In our blood

Your innocence

Is ever flowing

 

Fire

Your hot flames

Warm us in winter

Warm our food

So we can eat

Flicker in torches

To light the ways

You give passion and love

You are ever loved

 

Air

We live

Because we breathe

You fill our bodies

A gentle sweet breeze

Can cool us

On hot summer days

Play with the leafs

Blow away our grief

You are ever calm

 

Earth

The way we

Can move on the planet

We walk on you

Ride on you

We bury our pain

Our memories

Within you

You are ever strong
