Monsters in the mirror

I'm scared by what I see.
There's a monster in the mirror
And it's looking back at me.
I blinked and it blinked too
It even has the same fake smile I do,
I realized that the monsters me
And that self destruction has a pricey fee.

The poem can be considered brilliant because it clearly expressed the inner monstrosity of human being. A mirror is nothing but a medium where we see our own reflections, mirror shows us our error and the dark side which can not be seen with bare eyes.

The stanzas are well written and nicely rhymed, really a great piece of work.

Hey Sam, I liked the first three lines a lot. Kind of went downhill after that. I'm not sure the last line follows on from the rest of the poem. "price fee" is a bit redundant and awkward.

I second this review! It has wonderful musicality, and great imagery, but it kind of gets wonky in the fifth and sixth lines (and "price fee" is redundant). Being so short, it kind of seems a bit too soon to reveal things like that. Add some more details, and gradually bring the reader to realize that the monster is you from "self destruction". Show, don't tell. It's more rewarding.
