TodayA Poem by Sam
Tick, tick rings the clock
It counts the moments as they go In the past is where their locked, Second chances are a no. And there's no way to undo time, Actions stuck where they belong. We can only climb, But can we climb on past the wrong? Can we live with the regret, the pain? Things that scarred our souls. What from this dreary life we gain, Is it just bodies filled with holes? When were lying in a grave What at last will our tombstone say? Was money the master, we the slave? Did we let past define today? Maybe we never fufilled our dream. Perhaps lived a life we didn't want. The dead these words scream "Live for today, live life undaunted. Because If you live for tomorrow That day will never come, And if you live inside past shadow Then the present will just fill numb. So live each day as if the last. You have today, Not the future or the past!" © 2017 SamAuthor's Note
