Words

Words

A Poem by Sam

You tell me to ignore what they have to say
But how can I ignore them
When they speak to me each day
You tell me words mean nothing
And that I shouldn't cry
But if you where in my place
Would you not want to die
Words are sharpened arrows
That pierce my paper thin heart
And in the dark of night
Is when the wounds being to smart
You tell me to speak up
But how can I tell them I'm in pain
If nobodies even listening
Their words are stuck inside my brain
With the repeat button on
I'd rather take their punches
Then listen to them speak
Punches leave me bruised and weak
But words will leave me scars
Punches leave me gasping for breath
But words will make me not want to breath
Knives may cut my skin
But words will cut my core
Wounds will heal but words are glued within
You tell me words are painless
But their more lethal than a gun
I'd like to see you behind the muzzle
Then you can tell me if it's fun

An excellent idea, nicely executed, but I would love to clear up the typos! :)
It is truly very well done; it deserves that little bit of clean-up to make it perfect.
