MeadowA Poem by Jake BruntonThe ideal Heaven, the ideal paradise.
Here is where peace flutters by me
Here is where my warmth grows I twirl in my black overcoat - in this meadow; surrounded by mountains Spring wind whistles, a subtle warmth is felt The village not too far away; it has happy people How long have I been here? Here twirling like this? Soaked in true happiness silkiness of true bliss This meadow is warm. Oh so I lose all my troubles here The butterfly flutters by The candy is the roses How does this last? Surely, not eternity Grey clouds in the distance peace is now threatened I admit to my cottage the storm propelling My heaven was so close So perfect and stray The storm now blows the meadow The butterfly is knocked dead but no despair can find me For this is truly my Heaven Structured, secured. The storm will pass Lightning strikes The storm ravages the cottage; but it leaves with a gift; for the meadow of flowers. Its rain water is pure bliss. It seems there's an analogy It's not too blurry now this storm was helpful in the end- didn't let me get down I walk about in the meadow again- smile now: I am My meadow is fresh and full of smell I'll continue to twirl in Heaven, here I am.
