The PoetA Poem by Jake BruntonMe right now.
Alone at a blank computer screen; my pal
been one since 2013 I listen to 'The Real Folk Blues' and I reflect on things It's all been poking fun with these people, these 'friends,' since some years back But the more I am alone the more I reflect... the more I realize, "screw it." Man, there's just something about a rainy night during the Spring in the city It gets my blood pumping and the jazz swings on Man, I just love being at peace I love reflecting in my lonesome because I get to think of the world this way and the jazz swings on- Music encapsulated my thoughts and it made me realize these people I love these strangers as better known as friends they're pretty fake, pretty hypocritical their selves but what am I? Definitely not better Man, the rainy nights when you're alone; when jazz is playing, when candles flicker when the poetry flows from the fingertips all in your lonesome; there's no better feeling in the world. And the jazz swings on- (by Jake Brunton a.k.a SenpaiJake) © 2016 Jake Brunton |
