Lull in the SeaA Poem by Jake Brunton
Please give me one last kiss;
the kind we shared when we were young. One last hug to incubate this despair; before you leave me alone in the quiet fire of the night. You might not understand how much I love you. You might not understand just how odd... Grab my heart and crumble it so; spit on my love. Grab my emotions and toss them so; let's play the piano of sorrow. Say sayanara mata-ne, to me my love; before... You... Leave me.. Here in my heart is an empty and desolate shell. Hope shimmering in your honor, yet I know it's false. You love him now, more than ever. Kiss me one last time; like when we were younger. Those days are gone; You're forever in my mind, yet I never existed to you. You're forever in my heart, but; that's meaningless now... Grab my passion and harm it so; without you there's no passion needed. Grab my soul and tear it to and fro; I have eternally let go. I say sayanara mate-ne; To the dull, blue ocean. Dead to this world, I collapse; upon the rigid water stone. My body breaks away from my soul and heart. The ocean holds me now... Kiss me one last time; as if we were younger. Share with me the cherry blossoms; as we did in the Spring. Incinerate my love, my heart; now a lull in the sea.
