I in DarknessA Poem by Jake Brunton
I will never despair this life,
for what it is- It's quite an excellent fare. To be able to breath, with an aquatic departure is all but well. But I never fear, that in the silent hour; the darkness that binds. Coming from you to me tears my heart to shreds, and I fear - I will not return. Never stop the beating, it's not what my destiny is to achieve. And I.. will go. There's a butterfly out at night, and it tests my strength. Her light that shimmered through me, oh it's the appeasement. Starvation in my nature, I walk upon these roads; which I seem to not caress. And I.. will leave. In the dark hour of the night to come; relief of stress of life in drum. I question eternity with pride; and I cry. And if my memory ever is to waver; I will not be damned to there. I'll keep on clinging to you. And I.. Someday this life will end; I will not regret. To play the part of the man, in strife with suffrage. Oh no my heart. You silly wavering beast. Ah. In the dark hour of the night to come; relief of stress of life in drum. I question forever with stride; and I wipe tears. And if my existence ever is to waver; I will not be ashamed. I've lived this beauty through. And I.. walk in darkness.
