I sometimes sit and dream.
“Will this world ever be happy?” I sometimes call out to the ocean with my wishes. “Please bring us peace.” My mother’s old music box replays down the hall. This tatami house in tatters. Reflecting in the sunlight of tomorrow; I think. “Will I be pleased with me?” I whistle on the Autumn wind, and wonder; if I were to change- would I still be what I love. The answers are lost; in the sea of sunsets and petals. Someday, I will find mine. I sometimes sit and wonder. “Is the child me happy?” I sometimes cry and think: “When will time change us all?” My sister’s tears fall on the music box down the hall. This house in tatters. Reflecting in the sunlight of tomorrow; I think. “Will I be pleased with me?” I whistle on the Autumn wind, and wonder; if I were to change- would I still be what I love. The answers are lost; in the sea of sunsets and petals. Someday, I will find mine. (Original Work by Jake Brunton (SenpaiJake)) (alt title "Soul") © 2016 Jake BruntonFeatured Review
