Whispering Mind

Whispering Mind

A Poem by Şenay

Emotionless eyes that have the colour of wind, looking in mine...killing me from inside.
Why do I feel so tired all the time?
Seeing everything you do, being blind.

Fearing your unstable mind, destroying mine.
Whispering in my ear: 'Deny'.
The sadness oh the sadness...comes and goes flood tide.

Going insane, stuck in an endless cycle trying to get outside.
Going through my anguished brain, anger and hate taking over leaving sorrow behind.

I think you could teach poetry writing. You're very good. Too many aspiring poets take the power of what they're writing away completely by over explaining. Or too many words. I think a good poet like yourself allows her readers the dignity of filling in the blanks themselves.

Thank you so much, I am flattered. Agree, it has to leave to one's imagination

Thank you for reading and viewing my poem.
I've never felt the talking doubt in my head so vividly. It's like you've given voice to the demons inside my head. Yes, this is absolutely frighteningly successful. Thank you for sharing. dear Şenay... take care!

A wanting of washing reprieve to regain sustainability
Wain from the angst of wanting dost my being
Is there no release from the tension of anxiousness

Nature sustains why not a body
Is there no remedy to provide release
Come, I call to thee, please arrive with my ease

Slumber comes, eyes stay wide, heart continues to bleed with sorrow
Alone with my thoughts forever tortuing me
A ring, in the everesence of distant times, chimes a daunting knoll

A toll to pay must one always pay
Living is a price always paid to seek yet never find
Why is the journey mostly traveled in pain and alone?

Answers evade
Pain always given
Comfort never found

These are the ways of a tortured soul
Never relenting are the paths journeyed
Yet yearning dost one for it simply
to end.

A tragedy in the advanced stage of pain, dear Senay. Your heart's tears have written truth as you feel it, perhaps you've helped self by doing so. Wishing you peace.

Darker traits never show in reflections
some deflections but no accountability.
Powerfully addressed .
Thank you for sharing,

Thank you for your review, appreciate it.
In this one, it seems as if some volatile person has been attacking you emotionally; and your subconscious mind is telling you that. It's obviously someone, with whom an strong emotional bond might exist; but perhaps your rational mind knows that it's been hurting..?

Indeed, in the second verse; it's blatantly clear that you fear the risk of even losing your mind to that "unstable" one".

Following on to verse three, it seems as if you suffer the trauma of sadness and anger; as the unstable mind continues to attack. You're feeling trapped, and overwhelmed. Ultimately though, it's and anger and hate which become your driving emotions. Perhaps, those are the only emotions which the unstable one deserves to have directed his way - from you? Particularly, after the trauma which he has put you through.?
