Whispering Wind

Whispering Wind

A Poem by Şenay

Fallen snow covering rooftops, pigeons walking on tiles, claw prints intertwined.

Water changing colour becoming ice, scattering light.

Air being trapped on the tips of ice crystals, appearing a beautiful white sight.

Cold wind blowing with a loud whispering sound, hurting my mind.

Triggering memories of a lifetime with you, years and years rewind.

Waking up from the pain in the past, my aching heart confined.

Wavelengths of red, orange and yellow releasing the sun, becoming free as the moon appears bright.

This is certainly rather seasonal. Even the wind, can have a "cold" side to it (literally!); so no surprise that you alluded to it.

Overall, I felt that you captured some beauty from this cold season; and released it into your choice of words. So, you have achieved this; whilst also recognising the season's darker aspects.

Towards the very end, following that midpoint; you seem to have brought in your accompanying thoughts and feelings.

"Becoming free as the moon appears bright", sounded like a positive line upon which; to end this. Thankyou, for sharing.

You defined my morning porch pause very well... AND it goes nicely with coffee.

Welcome...
Been doing a lot of reflecting and remembering lately...some seasonal, some not. Changes in the weather are not for the better unless snow is your thing around here. I won't begrudge the snow though. There's bound to be many who love it. I know my little one does. I do like listening to the soft breezes blow across the frosty window. Your poem is lovely.
